Job description
Sand, polish and finish plastic automotive components in Pickering, using hand tools, power tools and careful visual inspection. Day shifts start at 8:00am.
This temporary Finishing Operative assignment lasts three months, with potential extension. You will prepare components for painting, coating, assembly or delivery. Previous polishing, sanding, buffing, surface preparation or similar production experience is welcomed, while automotive manufacturing experience is beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sand, polish and finish plastic automotive components
- Inspect parts for scratches, marks and blemishes
- Use hand tools, power tools and finishing equipment
- Prepare components for painting, coating or assembly
- Report damaged or faulty components promptly
Requirements:
- Experience in polishing, sanding or surface preparation
- Strong attention to detail when spotting imperfections
- Confidence using hand tools and power tools
- Practical approach and good manual dexterity
- Reliable attitude and ability to work within teams
