This is an exceptional opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys the technical side of accounting but wants a role that offersmore analysis, visibility, and variety than a traditional accounting position.While you will have core accounting responsibilities, a meaningful portion of the position involvesfinancial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, variance analysis, and special projects.You will have the opportunity to dig into financial data, identify trends and inconsistencies, develop recommendations, and help management better understand the numbers behind the business. It is an excellent next step for someone who wants to remain in accounting while expanding their analytical and business skills.Prepare and analyze financial and management reporting used by leadership to understand business performance.Perform account analysis, variance analysis, and detailed reviews of general ledger activity.Complete ad hoc financial analyses and special projects, often working with large or complex data sets.Build and maintain sophisticated Excel-based reporting and analytical tools.Analyze financial information to identify trends, unusual activity, and opportunities for improvement.Support departmental and management reporting, schedules, reconciliations, and related financial activities.Review transactions and account activity to ensure information is recorded accurately and appropriately.Assist with testing and enhancement of financial and management reporting.Provide guidance and support to junior team members, including reviewing work and assisting with training.Participate in special projects that provide exposure beyond the traditional accounting function.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance required~3+ years of professional accounting or finance experience.~ Strong accounting foundation combined with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.~ Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large amounts of financial data.~ Ability to work independently, prioritize responsibilities, and take ownership of projects.~ Strong attention to detail while still being able to understand the bigger financial picture.~ CPA or progress toward CPA certification is a plus, but not required.
