Intermediate Mechanical Designer AutoCAD SolidWorks

Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to design mechanical systems and components as an Intermediate Mechanical Designer in Cambridge, Ontario. This full-time role is on-site.

Aversan Inc. seeks an Intermediate Mechanical Designer for safety-critical aerospace, defence, and space systems. The role involves mechanical design, engineering calculations, drafting, and design documentation. You will also support fabrication, integration, testing, and project-level mechanical design activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and analyze mechanical systems and components
• Perform engineering calculations for machine and tool designs
• Create detail drawings and bills of materials
• Ensure designs comply with OSHA and CE standards
• Assist fabricators and machinists with integration

Requirements:

• Mechanical design or engineering diploma or degree
• Minimum five years of mechanical design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks
• Strong knowledge of drafting principles
• Understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical devices
