Job description
Apply electrical systems knowledge as a 2nd or 3rd year 309A apprentice electrician serving Guelph and surrounding areas. Read drawings and troubleshoot independently.
MJM Electric Ltd. hires permanent, full-time construction and maintenance apprentice electricians. The work supports commercial, industrial, and institutional services across Guelph, Kitchener-Waterloo, Cambridge, Centre Wellington, and Wellington County. Candidates need electrical distribution and fire alarm knowledge, quality workmanship, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and understand engineer drawings for electrical work
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and solve field problems
- Support commercial, industrial, and institutional service projects
- Work independently while collaborating with others
- Maintain close attention to detail and workmanship quality
Requirements:
- Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Apprenticeship
- Minimum one year as a registered 309A apprentice electrician
- Valid Ontario driver's license
- WHMIS, Working at Heights, and Elevated Work Platform
- Knowledge of electrical systems, distribution, and fire alarm
