Land Based Healing Program Helper

Support land-based healing through Hodi:nohshoni/Rotinonhsion:ni knowledge and trauma-informed care at Egowadiyadagenha. This full-time position includes outdoor programming and travel.

The Land-Based Helper assists the Team Manager with operational and advisory duties at the Egowadiyadagenha Land Based Healing Centre. The work combines traditional and western perspectives, cultural programming, client support, and collaboration with traditional advisors. Activities support individuals and families through land and water-based teachings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement culturally grounded wellness programming
• Facilitate land and water-based activities safely
• Support clients using trauma-informed, harm reduction approaches
• Coordinate cultural workshops, teachings, and activities
• Maintain centre grounds and treatment facilities

Requirements:

• Knowledge of Hodi:nohshoni/Rotinonhsion:ni culture and wellness concepts
• High School Diploma and three years’ land-based skills
• Or eight years’ land and water-based activity experience
• Valid Ontario Class G licence, vehicle, and travel willingness
• Boat licence and ORCKA or Paddle Canada training willingness
