Assistant Director Art Gallery Edmonton

Use French, English, and creative communications as Assistant Director at the Centre d’arts visuels de l’Alberta in Edmonton. Support gallery operations.

Working under the executive director, the Assistant Director coordinates communication, administration, and overall operations. The position connects the executive director with concerned parties, coordinates with project directors, and promotes events. It supports francophone artists and the Centre’s visual arts programming through organized, adaptable work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement internal and external communication tools for varied audiences
• Develop graphic-design projects for programs, events, and promotions
• Update the website using Wix
• Welcome visitors and provide gallery information
• Coordinate member services, registrations, inventory, and event records

Requirements:

• Mastery of French and English
• Experience in culture or arts is an asset
• Highly detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
• Effective time management and independent work ability
• Mastery of Word, Excel, InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
