Environmental Services Worker Hospital Cleaning

Maintain hospital cleanliness at Soldiers Memorial Hospital through floor care, patient-room cleaning, and safe environmental services. This permanent part-time position is located in the Western Zone.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Facility Support Services, the Environmental Services Worker cleans assigned units, patient rooms, and public areas. The work supports a clean, safe, functional environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors. Duties include operating specialized floor-care equipment and moving furniture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean patient rooms, public areas, and assigned hospital units
• Mop, dust, vacuum, scrub, buff, and refinish floors
• Operate spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers
• Move furniture and change curtains and drapes
• Support safety, quality, ethics, and organizational health practices

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Commitment to safety, ethical practices, and organizational health
• Reliable vehicle for travel to other sites
• French or other language competencies are an asset
