Job description
Develop real-time firmware and algorithms with Applanix in Richmond Hill, applying C/C++, Python, debugging, and data analysis to autonomous systems.
This 12-16 month internship places you within Trimble’s Applanix engineering team. You will contribute to APX/AP+ firmware while implementing algorithms and solving technical challenges. The program is designed to train prospective candidates for potential full-time roles after graduation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software for Applanix real-time firmware
- Implement complex algorithms for positioning applications
- Debug software and analyze performance data
- Collect and organize datasets supporting software improvements
- Use GIT and JIRA within an agile environment
Requirements:
- Pursuing Engineering Science or Computer Science degree
- Ideally completed third year of studies
- Practical development knowledge using C/C++ and Python
- Understanding of software development methodologies and tools
- Methodical problem-solving approach for multitasking environments
Build firmware, algorithm, debugging, and data analysis experience with Applanix’s real-time autonomous systems in Richmond Hill.
