Electrical Controls Engineering PEY Student

Electrical and controls engineering students can build practical experience with Kinectrics in Toronto through a hybrid Summer 2027 PEY placement.

As a PEY Student, you will support Electrical and Instrumentation and Control Engineering projects. The 16-month term runs from May 2027 through August 2028. You will prepare engineering deliverables, interface with design teams, and participate in client meetings and plant walkdowns. This opportunity suits third- or fourth-year students in relevant engineering disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interface with design teams on electrical and controls projects
• Assist with preparing engineering deliverables
• Participate in client meetings and plant walkdowns
• Provide project support and project management assistance
• Visit client sites occasionally with team members

Requirements:

• Full-time undergraduate enrollment requiring co-op or PEY placement
• Study in electrical, mechatronics, energy systems, computer, or nuclear engineering
• Strong Microsoft Word and Excel proficiency
• Familiarity with MS Copilot and engineering documentation
• Excellent communication, organization, planning, and interpersonal skills
