Commercial Construction Site Superintendent

Lead commercial construction execution across Calgary and Vancouver as a Site Superintendent coordinating trades, schedules, safety, and quality. Projects reach $6.5M.

This Site Superintendent role leads tenant improvements and commercial renovations for public-sector, government, and private projects. Reporting to the Project Manager and senior leadership, you will manage delivery from mobilization through close-out. The work requires field leadership, drawing interpretation, stakeholder communication, and change-management support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate daily on-site construction activities and report progress, issues, and risks
• Build schedules, order materials, and coordinate trades, inspections, and vendors
• Direct subtrades and field personnel toward schedule and quality targets
• Maintain relationships with owners, occupants, consultants, and trade partners
• Monitor safety programs and support RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings

Requirements:

• Five-plus years in construction supervision, including commercial construction
• At least three years of Canadian commercial construction experience
• Strong planning, prioritization, urgency, and independent operating ability
• Ability to read drawings, specifications, RFIs, change orders, and shop drawings
• Class 5 licence, Microsoft Office proficiency, and travel availability across Alberta and British Columbia
