Position Title: Warehouse Associate

Department: Warehouse

Position Reports to: Warehouse Supervisor

Shift: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday 5pm-3:30am.

Position Summary:

In this position, your day will consist of operating Material Handling Equipment to move around the warehouse to prepare products for shipping and/or receiving. You will be expected to follow Health & Safety and Food Safety standards and ensure the accuracy of the orders for customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Material Handling Equipment, including pre-shift and post-shift equipment check.
• Working in a variety of temperature zones from dry (15 degrees) to freezer (-20 degrees Celsius).
• Follow safe and efficient work procedures to meet customer requirements including maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Complete and keep up to date on all Health & Safety, Food Safety and Quality Assurance training pertinent to the role
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices
• Other duties as assigned.

General Duties

• Ensure the safety of trailers when in the loading dock.
• Assist Agropur drivers with off loading incoming cross dock freight.
• Assist the Agropur drivers with the retrieval of their freight as required.
• Store all un-needed freight in the appropriate storage areas.
• Stack, Wrap, and Store empty milk crates
• All other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 6 months warehouse experience.
• Experience operating material handling equipment - specifically reach truck and end rider
• Good communication skills (reading and writing) and strong customer service mentality.
• Ability to work in multiple environments including colder climates - refrigerated and freezer areas.
• A good attitude, with the ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Adherence to all Health & Safety, Food Safety and WHMIS practices.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
• Ability to work all stat holidays
• Hours of work: Approximately 20 hours per week - 3:30am to approximately 7:30am
