Senior Cyber Security Architect

Lead cyber security architecture for Ontario Public Service systems, applying security design expertise and risk analysis to protect information assets.

As a Senior Cyber Security Specialist, you will advise internal stakeholders and client ministries on security architecture requirements. The work includes designing and implementing security mechanisms, assessing vulnerabilities, and supporting compliance with legal requirements and industry practices. You will also contribute to cyber incident response readiness through tabletop exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define security architecture requirements for systems and IT projects
• Assess security risks, vulnerabilities, and privacy concerns
• Design mechanisms protecting client ministry information assets
• Lead security architecture projects and coordinate design specifications
• Ensure integration with enterprise and cluster architectures

Requirements:

• Strong expertise in security architecture design
• Knowledge of encryption, authentication, firewalls, and access controls
• Experience securing complex and distributed systems
• Knowledge of security audit procedures and protocols
• Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
