Hospital Pharmacist Medication Management

Manage medication therapy for Alberta Health Services patients through assessment, intervention, and evidence-based direct care. Work at Edson Healthcare Centre in a casual relief capacity.

This Pharmacist I position supports safe, effective, and efficient pharmaceutical services within the Pharmacy program. You will optimize medication regimens, address actual or potential drug-related problems, and promote patient understanding of medical conditions. Collaboration with patients, physicians, technicians, assistants, and interdisciplinary teams is central to care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and intervene in drug-related problems
• Optimize medication regimens using Additional Prescribing Authorization
• Support medication management for acute and chronic diseases
• Facilitate transitions between care settings
• Support drug distribution with pharmacy technicians and assistants

Requirements:

• Hold a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
• Possess current, provisional, or transferable ACP registration
• Have recent direct patient care experience within three years
• Demonstrate computer literacy and effective time management
• Work effectively independently and within multidisciplinary teams
