Assistant Produce Manager Quality Greens

Lead produce ordering, quality checks, and fresh merchandising as an Assistant Produce Manager at Quality Greens, working in person full-time.

This hands-on Assistant Produce Manager works alongside the Produce Manager to lead staff and maintain department performance. Use produce ordering, rotation, merchandising, quality control, POS software, and basic spreadsheets. Support a locally owned market serving local growers, vendors, and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan orders around sales, seasonality, promotions, and stock levels
• Build attractive displays featuring seasonal and local products
• Check freshness, rotate stock, and coordinate returns
• Maintain pricing, signage, movement records, and inventory counts
• Train staff and communicate daily department priorities

Requirements:

• Previous produce experience and one year managing or supervising
• Knowledge of ordering, merchandising, rotation, and quality control
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through
• Confidence using ordering systems, POS, and basic spreadsheets
• Availability for varied shifts and one weekend day
