Fundraising Development Officer

Build donor relationships through fundraising and grant writing as a Development Officer supporting animal welfare across Stratford and Perth County.

The Development Officer develops relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and community partners. This role researches prospects, prepares grant proposals, and coordinates donor communications. It also supports fundraising plans, campaigns, events, and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop relationships with donors, sponsors, foundations, and partners
• Research individual, corporate, and foundation donor prospects
• Prepare grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and funding reports
• Coordinate donor acknowledgements, stewardship, and recognition
• Track fundraising activities, deadlines, results, and performance indicators

Requirements:

• Post-secondary education in fundraising, communications, business, or related fields
• Two to four years of fundraising or development experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Professional relationship-building ability and attention to detail
• Microsoft Office and donor database or CRM proficiency

Use fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations expertise to strengthen animal welfare support throughout Stratford and Perth County.
