Licensed Sheet Metal Worker HVAC

Licensed Sheet Metal Worker with HVAC troubleshooting expertise supports McMaster University facilities across campus and offsite locations with a Class G licence.

This continuing Certified Trade CT2 position performs skilled maintenance, repairs, fabrication, and construction support. The work covers HVAC systems, exhaust systems, air handling equipment, and building services across University campuses and buildings. You will collaborate with trades professionals while following codes, OHSA requirements, and University standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues
• Repair, fabricate, install, and renovate sheet metal components
• Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical and environmental systems
• Interpret blueprints and manufacturer installation manuals
• Manage work orders through completion and documentation

Requirements:

• Current Ontario Sheet Metal Worker Certificate 308A
• Certificate and licensing maintained in good standing
• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• Three years of related experience
• Class G driver licence required
