Pharmacy Assistant Prescription Workflow

Support prescription workflow and customer service as a Pharmacy Assistant at Shoppers Drug Mart. Work includes prescription data entry, medication selection, and labeling.

This Pharmacy Assistant helps with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services. You will receive prescription orders, process refills, maintain pharmacy systems, and provide timely customer service. The work follows Pharmacy Standards of Practice and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather prescription information according to established standards
• Enter prescriptions and process refill requests accurately
• Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
• Maintain prescription data within applicable pharmacy systems
• Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists

Requirements:

• High school diploma
• Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
