Temporary Resident Programs Aide Position

Be a vital member of Extendicare’s team as a Temporary Resident Programs Aide in Southwood Lakes, Ontario. This part-time position aims to improve residents' lives through effective programming.
Your role involves working closely with seniors, implementing programs that meet their varying needs while ensuring thorough documentation and record-keeping. You'll assist in planning activities, engage with residents in meaningful ways, and work collaboratively with different departments to support high-quality care. A background in Recreation, Therapeutic Recreation, or a related area is essential for success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and manage individualized programs for residents
• Document and track resident participation and assessments
• Help create engaging monthly calendars and events
• Participate in community outings and special activities
• Support the overall care strategy through collaboration
Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in Recreation or comparable fields
• Experience in long-term care settings preferred
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken
• A genuine caring attitude towards seniors
