Turn disparate operational data into actionable insights as a Senior ETL Data Engineer with Sun Life’s Canadian Operations team, working hybrid.
As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design, implement, and maintain pipelines and infrastructure for data-driven decisions. The position emphasizes ETL development, data warehousing, modeling, and collaboration across analytics professionals. You will also troubleshoot data issues and mentor Data Engineers on best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and optimize ETL processes using established tools
- Maintain pipelines and infrastructure for analytics services
- Develop data models for business intelligence initiatives
- Collaborate with teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and implement solutions
Requirements:
- Five to ten years of ETL design, modeling, and development
- Expertise in data warehousing concepts and methodologies
- Proficiency with Informatica, Talend, or SSIS
- Experience with database systems and data formats
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and leadership abilities
