Security Guard Access Control Surveillance

Protect Sipekne’katik Entertainment Centre through access control and surveillance while working full-time, term shifts serving community members and visitors.

As a Security Guard, you will maintain safe, secure facilities, assets, and restricted areas for Sipekne'katik. The position requires security procedures, surveillance practices, incident response, and respectful communication. You will represent Sipekne'katik values through culturally appropriate customer service, professional conduct, and visible safety awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Control entry and exit points, verifying identification and authorizations
• Conduct patrols and monitor surveillance, alarms, and access systems
• Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances promptly
• Complete incident reports, daily logs, and shift documentation
• Provide respectful directions, information, and assistance

Requirements:

• Grade 12 completion or equivalent
• Minimum one year in security, law enforcement, military, or community safety
• Knowledge of security, surveillance, and incident response procedures
• Strong communication, situational awareness, and attention to detail
• Reliable transportation, criminal records check, and shift-work availability
