Primary Junior Teacher Instrumental Music

Support student learning through Primary/Junior teaching and Intermediate Instrumental Music in an Empower Excellence School with DDSB. The assignment is 1.0 FTE.

The Durham District School Board seeks a Long-Term Occasional Teacher to foster engaging, supportive classroom experiences. You will teach assigned grades and subjects, monitor student progress, and respond to diverse learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues, parents, and community partners is part of the work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver curriculum-aligned lessons that engage students
• Monitor learning and provide constructive student feedback
• Foster positive classrooms grounded in inclusion and belonging
• Work with families, colleagues, and community members
• Modify materials and instructional approaches as needed

Requirements:

• Required Primary/Junior subject qualification
• Required Instrumental Music subject qualification
• Ontario College of Teachers certificate in good standing
• Current criminal background check with vulnerable sector screening
• 1.0 FTE elementary Long-Term Occasional Teacher assignment
