About the Role:

The successful candidate will partner closely with hiring managers, provide full-cycle recruitment coaching, build processes and partnerships that strengthen candidate pipelines, enhance recruitment tools and promote consistent, efficient, and high-quality hiring practices across the organization. Key areas of accountability include:

  • Recruitment Systems and Process Improvement: Support the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of the Applicant Tracking System and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and the candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment (10%): Lead recruitment for key and hard-to-fill roles, including job advertising, candidate sourcing, résumé screening, interviewing, reference checking, offer preparation, and candidate follow-up.
  • Employment Brand and Recruitment Marketing: Create clear and compelling recruitment content for Fountain Tire’s careers website, social media channels, in-store advertising, and seasonal recruitment campaigns.
  • Labour-Market Research: Monitor recruitment, compensation, scheduling, and workforce trends within the automotive and skilled-trades markets and translate findings into practical recommendations.
  • Events and Community Outreach: Represent Fountain Tire at career fairs, trade shows, school events, and industry functions to promote employment opportunities and build candidate pipelines.
  • Training and HR Support: Develop and deliver recruitment-related education for managers, and provide backup support to the broader Human Resources team.

At Fountain Tire, we’re committed to supporting our Associates’ well-being and financial future. Our total rewards package includes:

  • Comprehensive cost-shared benefits including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and short/long-term disability coverage
  • Competitive base compensation with an annual short term incentive bonus structure
  • RRSP matching to help you plan for a secure financial future
  • Paid training and educational allowances to support your ongoing professional development
  • Work-life balance supported by flexible policies and a convenient office location near Calgary Trail and Anthony Henday
  • Associate perks including discounts on tires, parts, and services at all Fountain Tire locations

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • 5+ years in a direct sourcing or as an HR Generalist with a recruitment focus
  • Demonstrated success sourcing, pipelining, selecting, and closing talent, including recruitment for rural locations and non-professional roles.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify the competencies required for success and assess candidates against those requirements.
  • Strong consultative, customer-service, organizational, communication, listening, persuasion, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively, and maintain a positive, self-motivated approach in a fast-paced environment.
