Dietary Aide Food Service

Prepare therapeutic meals and serve residents or patients as a Dietary Aide in an assisted living or medical facility. Apply safe food handling practices daily.

This Dietary Aide position supports food service through basic preparation, meal service, dining-space sanitation, and restocking. You will follow portion standards, therapeutic diets, HACCP guidelines, and WHIMIS and MSDS requirements. The work also includes cleaning schedules and delegated catering support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare food according to instructions and therapeutic diet requirements
• Serve meals while following portion standards
• Set, clear, clean, and sanitize dining spaces
• Monitor and restock service areas
• Support delegated special function catering

Requirements:

• Valid Food Handler Certificate or provincial equivalent
• Previous dietary aide, hospitality, or customer service experience
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines
• Strong time-management and multitasking skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team
