Healthcare Environmental Services Cleaner

Support healthcare environments with patient-room cleaning, public-area care, and specialized floor equipment at Valley Regional Hospital in Nova Scotia’s Western Zone.

This permanent part-time Environmental Services Worker role reports to the Assistant Manager, Facility Support Services. You will help maintain a clean, safe, and functional environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors. The work covers all assigned units and includes operating Taski spray buffers, burnishers, auto scrubbers, and shampooers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain clean, safe, and functional healthcare environments
• Clean patient rooms and public areas across assigned units
• Operate Taski spray buffers and burnishers
• Use auto scrubbers and shampooers for floor care
• Change curtains and drapes when assigned

Requirements:

• Grade 12 or equivalent work experience
• Commitment to safety, ethics, and organizational health
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Reliable vehicle when travel between sites is required
• French preferred; other languages are an asset
