Capital Renewal Project Manager

Lead capital renewal projects in Guelph with expertise in construction administration, contracts, and project budgeting. This permanent role is full-time at the UGDSB Board Office.

The Upper Grand District School Board seeks a Capital Renewal Project Lead for its Capital, Renewal, & Energy team. Reporting to the Capital and Renewal Projects Manager, you will manage projects from planning through close-out. The work includes energy initiatives, engineering studies, procurement, and stakeholder coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage planning, budgeting, design, tendering, construction, and close-out
• Coordinate stakeholders and direct consultants, contractors, and vendors
• Monitor milestones, risks, progress, and mitigation strategies
• Ensure compliance with building, fire, and safety legislation
• Prepare and manage contracts, budgets, and project variances

Requirements:

• Post-secondary credential in architecture, engineering, or building technology
• Seven to ten years of project or contract administration experience
• Knowledge of institutional design requirements, codes, and due diligence
• Understanding of architectural, mechanical, and electrical building systems
• Knowledge of contracts, tendering, communication, negotiation, and collaboration
