Become a vital member of Aspira Douglas Crossing as a Cook, focusing on high-quality meal preparation. This part-time role allows you to enhance the dining experience for residents.
As a permanent part-time Cook, you will work 37.5 hours bi-weekly, playing a crucial role in meeting the dietary needs of our residents. Your expertise in a fast-paced kitchen will help ensure that meals are not only delicious but also meet high standards of food quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare meals that align with dietary requirements and preferences
• Ensure all food meets high quality and safety standards
• Report issues with food supplies and suggest improvements
• Manage menu changes and assist with food purchasing
• Build positive relationships with residents through meal service
Requirements:
• Minimum educational requirement of Grade 12
• Valid Safe Food Handling or Smart Serve certificate
• Experience in cooking within health care or hospitality
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Successful Vulnerable Sector Check total
