Fire Security Systems Estimating Engineer

Apply fire alarm, security, and low-voltage estimating expertise as an Applications Engineer with Securitas Technology, supporting engineered project budgets.

This Applications Engineer develops estimates for new and existing clients from consultants, engineers, contractors, and internal representatives. The work covers blueprints, specifications, take-offs, product selection, and pricing for integrated security systems. You will support proposals and project handoffs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, addendums, and project scope documents
• Prepare labor, material, equipment, and installation cost estimates
• Create budgets for alarm, CCTV, access control, and cabling systems
• Source competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Develop bid proposals and submit required documentation on time

Requirements:

• Minimum five years estimating fire alarm or security systems
• Understanding of NFPA, NEC, and building code requirements
• Ability to interpret detailed construction drawings and scope documentation
• Experience with major security and fire system manufacturers
• Strong organization, accuracy, communication, and time management skills
