Learning Support Teacher Vice Principal

Lead personalized instruction and school operations at Ecole St. John Paul II School as a Learning Support Teacher and Vice Principal. This 1.0 FTE assignment begins approximately January 2027.

Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education seeks a probationary candidate serving 0.6 FTE as Learning Support Teacher and 0.4 FTE as Vice Principal. Coordinate Individualized Support Plans, accommodations, and specialized collaboration while supporting school vision, culture, operations, and Catholic education. Leadership, communication, classroom management, and technology skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate personalized instruction with teachers, assistants, and specialists
• Design Individualized Support Plans and tailored accommodations
• Advocate for diverse learners’ academic, social, and emotional potential
• Support the Principal with vision, culture, and operations
• Manage discipline, staff development, activities, and community partnerships

Requirements:

• Firm commitment to Catholic education, values, and traditions
• Permanent teaching authority; leadership certification preferred
• Elementary, junior high, and/or administration experience
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills
• Technology competency with PowerSchool, interactive boards, Google, and Microsoft Suite
