Head Cashier Front End Leadership
Lead front-end service at The Home Depot through cash handling, associate coaching, and customer-focused solutions for project needs. Evening and weekend availability may apply.
The Head Cashier supports the Front End Supervisor by motivating associates to follow GET behaviours and deliver great shopping experiences. This position coaches, trains, and develops Front End and Lot Associates while maintaining coverage through scheduling. You will provide first-level escalation for customer issues, communicate store leadership’s priorities, and operate cash machines. The role also supports safety, loss prevention, and front-end asset protection processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coach associates through training, guidance, encouragement, and recognition
- Maintain checkout coverage and engage backup cashiers when necessary
- Communicate goals, priorities, and directions from store leadership
- Operate cash machines and train cashiers accordingly
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year leading people
- One to two years retail or cash experience an asset
- Customer focus, teamwork, and effective communication
- Cash handling, leadership, and attention to detail
