Healthcare billing data entry clerks process patient records, insurance details, tests, and diagnoses within the Softatcis billing system. Continuous typing supports this detail-focused administrative work.

The position works under the Data Entry Supervisor’s direction, training, and supervision. Responsibilities include understanding requisitions, addressing unbillables, completing reports, and handling corrections within required timelines. Knowledge of payer types, laboratory testing, CPT codes, ICD-9 codes, and basic filing supports daily accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter demographics, insurance information, tests, and diagnoses
• Attach proper stickers to returned unbillable requisitions
• Correct daily unbillables returned from programs
• Process supervisor corrections within 24 hours
• Enter 500 tests daily after probation

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Basic computer aptitude and alpha-numeric filing knowledge
• Knowledge of payer types and laboratory tests
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 codes
• Organization, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
