Job description
Shape Computer Science research and teaching at the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor pursuing independent, internationally recognized scholarship.
The Department of Computer Science seeks three full-time tenure stream Assistant Professors starting July 1, 2027. Candidates will develop innovative research, contribute to undergraduate and graduate education, and participate in academic service. Excellence in research and teaching is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pursue innovative independent research at the highest international level
- Establish an externally funded independent research program
- Enrich undergraduate and graduate Computer Science programs
- Participate in academic service and leadership
- Carry an assigned teaching and service load
Requirements:
- PhD in Computer Science or related area
- Demonstrated excellence in research and teaching
- Publications or forthcoming work meeting international standards
- Evidence of undergraduate and graduate teaching excellence
- Strong international referee endorsements and application materials
