Job description
Lead golf shop operations and member service at Huron Oaks Golf Club in Brights Grove, Ontario, supporting a full-time, year-round operation.
As Assistant Golf Professional, you will work closely with the Head Golf Professional across golf services and daily operations. The position includes tee-time management, retail sales, tournament support, staff development, and member communications. It suits candidates with golf knowledge, professionalism, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist daily golf shop and golf service operations
- Manage tee-time bookings, sales, inquiries, and transactions
- Coordinate tournaments, leagues, outings, and member events
- Support cart operations, practice facilities, and pace of play
- Train, mentor, and supervise golf operations staff
Requirements:
- PGA of Canada membership preferred; apprentices encouraged
- Golf course, pro shop, or operations experience is an asset
- Knowledge of rules, etiquette, tee sheets, and tournaments
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service abilities
- Weekend, holiday, and peak-season flexibility required
