Job description
Shape electrical systems for complex buildings at Callidus Engineering, combining design expertise, construction troubleshooting, and leadership in Ontario.
As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will design and guide systems across multi-unit residential, healthcare, commercial, industrial, and institutional sectors. The work includes medium or high voltage exposure, fire alarms, lighting controls, security, and communications infrastructure. You will also coordinate documentation with clients, contractors, sales representatives, and other engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design strategies for complex electrical systems
- Review and stamp projects of all sizes
- Troubleshoot construction and on-site control issues
- Coordinate project documentation with clients and contractors
- Conduct site reviews and construction phase services
Requirements:
- 10+ years designing electrical systems for building construction
- Ontario engineering license and relevant industry experience
- Experience across varied building and industry sectors
- Significant exposure to on-site control troubleshooting
- Organized, proactive approach under deadline pressure
