Mobile Automation Software Engineer

Build mobile automation for EA SPORTS FC using TypeScript or JavaScript while working hybrid at least three days weekly in Burnaby, BC.

As a Software Engineer II, you will develop automation components and developer tools for the Companion App across iOS, Android, and web. Your work will integrate automated checks into development workflows and improve test feedback. The role requires modular design, automated testing, CI workflows, and Git. You will also evaluate AI-assisted approaches while partnering with developers and quality teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build modular automation components for mobile and web flows
• Configure physical device labs, emulators, and simulations
• Integrate automated checks into Continuous Integration workflows
• Investigate flaky tests and verify root-cause fixes
• Track coverage, reliability, and runtime metrics

Requirements:

• Two or more years of software development or test automation experience
• Bachelor's degree with Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning exposure
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, data structures, and Git
• Mobile automation experience using Appium, Detox, or related frameworks
• Experience investigating CI failures through logs and repeatable tests
