Job description
Guide wellness and fitness at the Collingwood YMCA Simcoe/Muskoka through safe programming, health education, and individual coaching. Flexible hours support client needs.
The Wellness Coach & Personal Trainer delivers values-based fitness programs and services for YMCA members and participants. You will build relationships, provide approachable on-floor leadership, and support quality instruction. The position also includes member service, safety oversight, records, and communication with supervisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group fitness programs and services
- Provide on-floor health education, fitness leadership, and coaching
- Build relationships through deliberate member and participant interaction
- Monitor safety, participation, instruction quality, and customer service
- Complete records, checklists, and incident reports as needed
Requirements:
- Related degree or diploma preferred
- Recognized personal training or group fitness certification preferred
- Fitness class teaching experience or interest preferred
- Standard First Aid and CPR C certification
- Excellent oral, written, and computer skills
