Job description
Support prescription services as a Pharmacy Assistant, using accurate data entry, medication selection, and customer-focused communication in a Shoppers Drug Mart store.
This Pharmacy Assistant supports technical dispensing functions and pharmacy operations. You will receive prescription orders, process refills, and maintain applicable Pharmacy systems. The position also includes customer service, administration, prescription preparation, and referrals to pharmacists for clinical inquiries or counseling.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather prescription information according to Standards
- Process new prescriptions and refill requests
- Select medications according to Pharmacy Standards
- Count, measure, package, and label prescriptions
- Refer clinical inquiries to the pharmacist
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
- Previous pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
