Building Automation Controls Technician

Apply controls expertise at the Catholic Education Centre in Peterborough, maintaining building automation, electrical, and mechanical systems. This long-term assignment provides 40 hours weekly.

PVNCCDSB seeks a Controls Technician for maintenance duties supporting heating, cooling, plumbing, and water systems. The work includes inspections, automation upgrades, scheduling, inventory, troubleshooting, and related custodial duties. Certification as an Electrician or HVAC Technician, plus building automation knowledge, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain building, mechanical, electrical, and automation systems
• Inspect heating, cooling, and water systems
• Assess and recommend building automation improvements
• Schedule heating, cooling, and plumbing system efficiency
• Maintain equipment maintenance logs and materials inventory

Requirements:

• Certification as an Electrician or HVAC Technician
• Knowledge of pneumatic controls and heating/cooling systems
• Computer skills with controllers, microprocessors, and software
• Ability to interpret blueprints and troubleshoot problems
• Valid driver's license and ladder access capability
