Electronics Production Assembler Quantum Systems
Assemble and test electronic systems at D-Wave in Burnaby, using soldering, technical drawings, and hands-on production skills. Support quantum computers through careful workmanship.
This Electronics Production Assembler role spans Levels I, II, and III within D-Wave’s Engineering and Production team. You will build electro-mechanical assemblies, cables, wiring, harnesses, and electronic components. The work includes manual SMT soldering, PCB rework, inspections, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting. Level expectations range from foundational skills and close supervision to independent complex work, recommendations, and guidance for less experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble electro-mechanical, cable, wiring, and harness components
- Perform fine-pitch SMT soldering and PCB rework
- Read drawings, schematics, BOMs, and assembly instructions
- Inspect and test assemblies against product specifications
- Document work orders, records, inventory, issues, and improvements
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Experience in electronics or electro-mechanical assembly environments
- Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to use tools, microscopes, soldering, and test equipment
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds or more
