Thrift Store Sales Associate

Deliver courteous customer service as a Casual Sales Associate at The Salvation Army thrift store. Process transactions accurately while supporting merchandise displays.

This Sales Associate supports all areas of thrift store operations, including donations, displays, customer transactions, and warehouse goods. The work includes sorting, pricing, storing, and processing donated items while maintaining clean, attractive sales areas. You will work with staff, volunteers, donors, customers, and neighbours under the Thrift Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide positive, courteous service to customers
• Process cash and debit or credit transactions accurately
• Maintain neat, clean, fully stocked sales displays
• Receive, sort, price, store, and process donations
• Work with volunteers and prepare their workstations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
• WHMIS Certificate and First Aid Certificate
• Minimum three months of prior related experience
• Satisfactory vulnerable sector background check
• Ability to follow safety procedures and direction
