Traffic Control Hoist Operator

Traffic control and personnel hoist work define this Ventana Construction position across Greater Vancouver construction sites. Support safe movement, site operations, and public access.

As a TCP/Hoist Operator, you will perform traffic control duties or safely operate a personnel hoist. When hoist operation is unnecessary, you will assist carpenters and skilled labourers with general construction tasks. The position includes inspections, radio communication, hazard assessments, and public safety responsibilities. Training on hand and power tools will be provided as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement approved traffic control plans around active construction sites
• Operate and inspect personnel hoists safely
• Coordinate deliveries, equipment movement, and hoist communication
• Assist trades with materials, cleanup, and construction tasks
• Report hazards, incidents, injuries, and public concerns immediately

Requirements:

• Valid TCO and Hoist Operator certifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 55 pounds
• Legal authorization to work in Canada
• CSA-approved work boots supplied personally
