Building Centre Yard Operations Lead

Coordinate yard operations at Sylvan Lake Home Hardware Building Centre, managing employees, equipment, schedules, and customer assistance. This full-time job offers 40 hours weekly.

As Yard Foreman, you oversee all yard activities and remain accountable for materials and equipment. You organize receiving, unloading, and delivery schedules while supporting efficient operations, productive labour use, and strong customer service. The position also addresses operating issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all yard activities and assigned personnel
• Maintain employee work schedules for the yard
• Check yard safety, security, and inventory status
• Keep operating costs within management-determined levels
• Report operating problems promptly to management

Requirements:

• High School graduation or equivalent
• Retail experience of one to two years is an asset
• Flexible availability for weekends, evenings, and holidays
• Ability to follow company policies and procedures
• Ability to work safely under provincial and federal legislation
