Occupational Therapy Assistant in Long-Term Care

AgeCare is looking for an Occupational Therapy Assistant dedicated to empowering seniors in long-term care settings. Your role includes assessing residents, implementing individualized treatment plans, and supporting daily therapy sessions. You will work closely with an Occupational Therapist, reporting on patient progress and engaging in community health education.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and support residents’ physical capabilities
• Provide therapy under the direction of the Occupational Therapist
• Complete daily clinical records and monitoring reports
• Prepare therapy equipment and ensure a safe environment
• Communicate important updates to the healthcare team
Requirements:
• Post-secondary education or related diploma preferred
• Strong English fluency in verbal and written communication
• Preferred background in gerontology or continuing care
• Advocacy for occupational therapy treatment
• Desire to provide respectful and compassionate care
