Sort packages for UPS in Ajax, Ontario, using postal codes and physical handling skills during weekday evening shifts. Flexibility is required.
The permanent, part-time PM Sorter works in a warehouse environment from Monday to Friday, 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The work involves loading and unloading UPS packages, sorting shipments, and stocking them according to postal codes. Shifts last three to five hours daily, with a minimum commitment of 25 hours weekly. Applicants must also be available Monday to Saturday and work inside trailers and delivery vehicles. Warehouse experience is considered an asset, while paid training supports company-established handling methods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load packages into delivery vehicles and trailers
- Unload packages from delivery vehicles and trailers
- Sort packages according to postal codes
- Stock packages using established warehouse procedures
- Execute company-established package handling methods
Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds
- Availability Monday through Saturday
- Ability to read and memorize postal codes
- Comfort working in physically demanding conditions
- Comfort working inside trailers and delivery vehicles
