Senior Java Reinforcement Learning Engineer

Use Java and software engineering expertise remotely to create reinforcement learning environments that evaluate AI models on complex coding tasks.

This contractor role seeks experienced Senior Software Engineers supporting an AI training project. You will create reproducible environments, deterministic verification, and reference solutions using Model Context Protocol tools. No prior AI experience is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create reinforcement learning environments for software engineering tasks
• Design bug fixing, feature development, and refactoring tasks
• Build deterministic verification systems and golden reference solutions
• Evaluate AI agents using complex codebases and MCP tools
• Document solutions and provide clear technical feedback

Requirements:

• Strong proficiency in Java or listed programming languages
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Experience debugging complex software issues
• Experience implementing features and refactoring codebases
• Knowledge of performance optimization and tuning
