Human Resources Position Evaluation Lead

Lead position evaluation strategy for the City of Edmonton, guiding technical specialists and supporting enterprise transformation through defensible classification practices.

As Team Lead, Position Evaluation, you will oversee Position Evaluation Consultants across portfolio domains. You will balance client service, creative problem-solving, technical consistency, and framework integrity. The role supports a new enterprise-wide job evaluation methodology through change management, training, and operational alignment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and support Position Evaluation Consultants across assigned portfolios
• Develop flexible evaluation solutions while upholding standards and internal equity
• Support enterprise-wide methodology implementation, training, and change management
• Provide guidance during classification appeals, disputes, and umpire hearings
• Resolve sensitive jurisdictional and bargaining unit issues with strategic partners

Requirements:

• Education in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline
• At least seven years of human resources experience
• Direct job evaluation and classification experience
• Team leadership or supervisory capabilities
• Expertise in large, multi-union classification frameworks
