Mechanical Design Team Lead

Lead mechanical design with SolidWorks and GD&T at OSI, guiding hardware for marine navigation and bridge systems serving government markets.

As Mechanical Design Team Lead, you supervise mechanical engineers and CAD designers within OSI’s Hardware Engineering department. You plan work, direct technical output, and develop team members while remaining hands-on in design and review. Your work supports compliant, manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable designs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise mechanical engineers and CAD designers
• Plan, estimate, assign, and schedule team work
• Review designs, models, drawings, and GD&T
• Resolve or escalate technical and schedule risks
• Mentor staff and support performance development

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• Seven-plus years of mechanical design experience
• Two-plus years leading teams or serving as technical lead
• Advanced SolidWorks and GD&T knowledge
• NATO Secret clearance eligibility and controlled goods access
