Senior Electrical Power Engineer

Lead electrical power system design at CBCL Limited in Halifax or New Brunswick, applying high-voltage expertise across infrastructure projects. Guide multidisciplinary delivery from feasibility through implementation.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will manage complex projects for industrial clients, electrical utilities, and renewable energy developers. Your work includes medium- and high-voltage distribution, protection and controls, grounding, SCADA, telecommunications, and electrical design documentation. You will mentor engineers and technologists while supporting technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead multidisciplinary projects as Project Manager and Technical Lead
• Oversee reports, drawings, specifications, tenders, and costing
• Review designs for safety, codes, standards, and risk management
• Mentor junior engineers and technologists through professional development
• Conduct site reviews and oversee construction activities

Requirements:

• Electrical Engineering degree and Professional Engineer registration eligibility
• At least 10 years of electrical engineering and project management experience
• Power distribution design experience across medium- and high-voltage systems
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and relevant CSA standards
• Valid driver’s license and occasional travel availability
