Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacy Assistant

Support prescription workflow at Shoppers Drug Mart through accurate data entry, medication preparation, and timely customer service. Work in a locally owned store supported by a national brand.

As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will assist with technical dispensing functions and pharmacy services. Your work includes prescription intake, refill processing, billing, documentation, and customer support. You will follow Pharmacy Standards of Practice while referring clinical inquiries and counseling needs to the pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather prescription information according to established standards
• Process new prescriptions and refill requests accurately
• Select, count, measure, package, and label medications
• Maintain dispensary cash registers and process purchases
• Refer clinical inquiries and counseling needs to pharmacists

Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Pharmacy Assistant credited course diploma preferred
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Problem-solving ability and attention to detail
