Dietary Aide Food Service Worker

Support resident dining as a Dietary Aide with peopleCare, using food preparation and meal service skills in a long term care setting.

This dietary team role assists Cooks with preparing and serving meals, beverages, nourishment items, and catering. You will follow Dietary Profiles, Therapeutic Menus, resident diets, and food preferences. The position also supports safe, sanitary department operations and timely meal service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, reheat, and serve assigned food and beverages
• Serve meals according to resident dietary profiles
• Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas
• Complete food and refrigeration temperature documentation
• Set and clean dining tables, trays, dishes, and pans

Requirements:

• Complete or enroll in Food Service Worker training
• Maintain current Public Health food safety certification
• Minimum grade 10 education
• Read, write, and follow instructions accurately
• Communicate effectively with long term care residents
