Part Time Thrift Store Associate

Customer service and cash handling define this permanent part-time Store Associate role with The Salvation Army Thrift Store. Serve customers and process donations.

The Store Associate supports ongoing retail operations through customer service, product sorting, cash transactions, and merchandise processing. You will greet customers and donors, answer product enquiries, maintain displays, and replenish sales-floor inventory. The position reports to the Store Manager and includes weekday and/or Saturday scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet customers and donors courteously
• Complete accurate cash and debit transactions
• Sort, price, hang, and store donations
• Replenish inventory and maintain merchandise displays
• Follow opening, closing, and security procedures

Requirements:

• Completion of some high school coursework
• A few months’ customer service or goods-processing experience
• Cash handling and cash register experience
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Ability to lift and move 30 pounds
